Why Legacy Exists
How Your Participation Will Support Our Mission
Our Children’s Center will be a beacon for early childhood development, providing a nurturing space for young learners to explore, grow, and thrive. This modern facility will be equipped with interactive classrooms, learning stations, and creative spaces to foster both social and cognitive development.
*Construction Costs: Building a state-of-the-art facility that meets safety and education standards.
*Classroom Technology: Investing in smart boards, tablets, and other digital tools to enhance interactive learning.
*Outdoor Play Areas: Building secure and engaging outdoor play areas to promote physical development.
*Furniture & Fixtures: Child-friendly furniture, educational toys, and materials that align with early learning curriculums.
Investing in facility improvements is essential to ensure our students, staff, and visitors enjoy a functional, safe, and inspiring environment. We are focusing on both interior and exterior upgrades to optimize the learning experience and keep our campus running smoothly.
Key Facility Improvement Budget Items:
*Modular Carpet: Durable, easy-to-replace carpet tiles that enhance the comfort and aesthetics of classrooms and communal areas.
*Modular Windows & Doors: Energy-efficient, easy-to-maintain windows and doors to modernize our buildings and improve sustainability.
*Modular New Buildings: Expanding our capacity with modular, flexible buildings that can accommodate more students and specialized programs.
*Asphalt Reseal and Restriping: Ensuring our parking lots and pathways are safe and clearly marked for traffic flow.
*Concrete Driveway: Repairing and updating driveways to ensure they are accessible and safe for all visitors.
*Miscellaneous Repairs: Addressing general wear and tear across the campus, ensuring all areas are functional and safe.
*Building Repair & Repainting: Fixing damaged areas of the buildings and giving them a fresh, updated look with new paint.
Each improvement is designed to make our campus a more welcoming, functional, and safe place to learn, work, and visit.
Our focus on student improvements is grounded in the belief that a holistic educational experience includes not only academic spaces but also areas dedicated to play, creativity, and hands-on learning. These upgrades will give students the opportunity to engage in outdoor activities and gain practical skills in sustainability and nature.
*Playground: A safe, modern playground designed to encourage physical activity, social interaction, and fun.
*Playground Fencing/Infill: Installing secure fencing around playground areas to ensure safety and provide a clear boundary for children during recess and playtime.
*Farm/Garden (Greenhouse, Fruit Orchard): Establishing a hands-on learning environment where students can engage in gardening, learn about sustainability, and cultivate their own food. This will include a greenhouse for year-round growth and a fruit orchard to provide fresh produce.
These improvements will give students the spaces they need to not only play but also learn about the world around them, helping foster a connection with nature and sustainability.
Student and staff safety remains one of our highest priorities. We are investing in advanced
security improvements to ensure that our campus remains a safe and secure space for learning and community interaction.
Key Security Improvement Budget Items:
*Perimeter Fencing: Installing durable, high-security fencing around the campus to limit unauthorized access and increase safety.
*Security Lighting: Strategically placed lighting across the campus to ensure all areas are well-lit, reducing the risk of accidents and enhancing overall security.
*Infrastructure/Network/Electrical/Internet Upgrades: These upgrades are essential to support advanced security systems, including cameras, alarms, and communication tools that ensure the smooth operation of our campus security.
These improvements will give students, staff, and parents peace of mind, knowing that the campus is protected by the latest safety measures and technologies.
Our Scholarship Fund is dedicated to making education accessible for all students, regardless of financial circumstances. We believe that every student should have the opportunity to pursue their academic dreams without the burden of financial barriers.
Key Scholarship Budget Considerations:
*Need-Based Scholarships: Offering financial assistance to students from low-income families, helping them cover tuition, books, and other essential academic costs.
*Merit-Based Scholarships: Rewarding students for academic excellence, leadership, or special talents, providing them with the resources to continue excelling in their studies.
*Specialty Scholarships: Allocating funds for students pursuing specialized fields or programs, such as STEM, arts, or vocational training, to ensure they have the support they need to succeed.
By contributing to this fund, you are directly helping students access quality education, empowering them to reach their full potential. Every dollar donated to scholarships can be the difference between a dream deferred and a future realized.
"Legacy has given our family the perfect balance of in-person, high quality classes and schooling at home. There's something for all three of our children, whose grades range from elementary to high school. They enjoy all the fun activities and getting to spend time with friends!"
Johanna Trask, parent
"We are so thankful for the Legacy community. They have provided such an amazing opportunity for our children to learn, grow and collaborate with like minded children and families. Our ability to customize home school learning with subjects my children are passionate about, has made the experience one that has elevated their education."
Jeran and Lauren Fraser, parents
"I'm so thankful for you listening to the Holy Spirit calling to fulfill this need and begin the legacy enrichment program."
Jennifer Emerson, parent
"Legacy has been the homeschool support and community my family needs. The three staff who run it each make it a special environment. From the care and inclusiveness they show each family, to the commitment to seeing our kids thrive, I've never had others care for my kids like they do. The vendors share this same spirit and work closely with me to provide my children with everything they need. What Legacy embodies is rare to find. Even the church where it's located is committed to our children and extremely involved. They show such love and care that they have let Legacy farm their land and build a chicken coop. I love being on campus because it feels so peaceful. The families are incredible and welcoming to everyone. Legacy is a gem and a blessing to our family."
Jennifer Labelle, Parent & Vendor
"There are many things I love about Legacy! Number one is that my 7 year old gets to grow up focusing on learning what he loves and brings him joy. I get to customize an education for him so he always stays interested in learning. My goal is to have him engaged in a curriculum that leads him straight into a career he loves and bypasses the need for college. With entrepreneurial and life skill classes, Legacy empowers our children in a way public and private schools could never in California. We are blessed!"
Sarah Holmes, parent
As a working parent, I value the community and partnership Legacy provides to my family. From learning how to code to practicing Spanish, Legacy enables my children to learn alongside others, take enrichment courses, and do hands-on activities. My kids love doing courses that I would have difficulty teaching at home and I love that it is all in one convenient location! The second grade program has been a great help to us as we navigate this homeschooling journey. The instructor gives us weekly guidance in curriculum, creates an engaging classroom environment and really comes alongside us as parents, giving us feedback on what to work on with our children at home.
I love seeing my kids share with me about the different things they did in their enrichment classes alongside their friends. Additionally, I appreciate the opportunity for them to start their day with prayer and worship. As a former public school student, I never envisioned homeschooling my children. I am thankful for programs like Legacy that come alongside families to make homeschooling accessible and supportive for everyone.
